Hunting Predators

In my years as a paramedic, I have had many nicknames, Cujo, Doc, Sir, Zombie Medic, and more. I have spent three decades fighting for lives, whether by giving medications, doing CPR, talking to someone at the edge of oblivion, and pulling them back to using violence of action to save lives, I save people.

After my cancer, my career as a Paramedic was essentially over, sadly before I was ready for it. I lost all reason to be, it seemed like every day, I lost one more part of me; in short, I was limping toward that edge I had talked people back from so often before. Then by some universal re-balancing, I had the opportunity to go back to school to get a masters in IT, with a focus on forensic computing, I initially thought this would be a cool hobby job helping people get access to loved ones’ computers or other devices. Then someone from my former life said, “dude, you should help hunt pedophiles and sex traffickers” suddenly, I had a mission if I can’t be the one on the scene to bandage the wounds of that life, I can help track them and see them in handcuffs to face justice.

How do we hunt the monsters? The same way we hunt any predator, of course. We put out bait and lure them in, we keep them moving until they are trapped and have no chance of escaping, although we don’t get to shoot them. The bait we use is an AI-created individual that we have photos for to share with these monsters, and with chat filters and voice filters, these monsters are being captured. Sadly we can’t stuff their heads and mount them on the wall.
