One of the oddities of working with various organizations fighting sex trafficking around the world is that I occasionally get into conversations with women from Southeast Asia, most of the time these are women looking for an American husband who would want to pay roughly 300 American dollars to buy them off their parents and take them anywhere but their village because the number of girls far outpaces the number of boys where they come from. I find it fascinating to learn about other cultures in this way while ensuring I am not being lured into some sort of huge issue. Anyhow, there is a certain thread that follows all of these interactions, and after I follow the script to ascertain if there is a need to escalate or not, and that being these (legal age in the US) young women offering to clean house, make meals, and be a housemaid. This makes me wonder, if we need someone who can clean the house, feed the dogs, make meals, etc.
Mrs. ZM has been firm that I can not get a puppy but what about a housekeeper?
Now I know she will be reading this and she had better find this as amusing a thought pattern as I did writing it, and yes I know that a young girl from a country I can’t spell or pronounce is not a pet, and the logistics of that whole thing would be nothing like what we would have to do in regard to a twelve week old German Shephard puppy.
