We are so blessed with so many friends and allies as we go through this adventure. Many want to be helpful, asking what they can do.
For now, we don’t know:
- How Chris will feel after his surgery
- We are expecting a resurfacing and partial replacement, but more significant work could be done if more damage/cancer is discovered.
- We don’t know how we will be when Chris goes on disability (lost wages, etc.)
- How quickly he will recover.
Chris has lost a substantial amount of weight – almost 30 lbs as of yesterday. I think he is looking good, but he is stressed out.
Things we do need help with:
- Once Chris is home, visitors will be nice – change of pace and give me and/or Matt a break. He’ll have games, etc.
- Minor errands – prescriptions, groceries
- Letting the animals out for walks.
We are eternally grateful for:
- Friendships
- Pledges on the GoFundMe campaign
- Lina, who is helping us keep the house clean
- Steve, and John who offered to mow the yard while Chris recovers
- Scott, who helped get some pet sitting services donated
- Jen and Sam who’ve offered to sit Matt occasionally for some breaks
- And all of the prayers, good wishes, healing thoughts, etc. It couldn’t hurt.
We are blessed in having you in our lives. Thank you.
As we move forward, I will be taking photographs of events. Stay Tuned.
