Well here I am, less than a week from surgery..

a little concerned i guess, mostly just want to get there and get done with it.

Saw my Doctor today, we talked about my surgery, and my recovery.

initially I had thought I was going to be back to work in 6-8 weeks, evidently I’ll be off crutches in 6-8 weeks and then we can discuss my lifting restrictions.  on the positive side I am not getting a hip resurfacing, on the negative i am getting the top half of my hip socket drilled into and cleaned out, then packed with cadaver bone.  he also explained in great detail how they are goign to enter and what needs to be moved.

probabaly 3-6 months before I can be working on an Ambulance, but then again that only 3-6 months, I can teach, and go to meetings, and all of that stuff, heck i could go do blodd pressure screenings or paperwork if the boss wants to see my smiling face.
